Application to Shrubs and plug plants
Fill a watering can of any size and apply 25 mls of Plant Magic. Water to the root as normal then apply over the foliage of the plants.
Planting - Re siting plug plants or shrubs.
Fill a washing up bowl with Tepid water, add 25mls of Plant Magic and soak the roots for several seconds. Plant the Plugs or shrubs and use the remaining dilution in the bowl to 'water in'.
Application to Seedlings and fruit trees
When planting seedlings put 25 mls of Plant Magic into a full watering can and 'over water'.
When planting Fruit trees or shrubs use the same dilution and soak the roots for a few second,plant out then use the remainder of the dilution to 'water in'. Apply the same dilution to the roots and foliage every 2 weeks during the growing season.
November - February make up a dilution of 200mls into 5 litres of water and apply to the woody tissue of the fruit treeby watering can or hose end sprayer.
Application Vegetables from seed plug or Tuba etc
When Trans planting seedlings or sowing tubas etc put 25 mls of Plant Magic into a bowl of water and soak the roots/tubas etc for a few seconds, plant out then use the remainder of the dilution to 'water in'. Apply the same dilution to the roots and foliage every 2 weeks during the growing season.
ROOT FEED
Most importantly Plant Magic should be applied to the roots of all plants. This is most important because the roots tell the plant how to grow. If you keep the roots happy the roots will look after the rest of the plant. As before take 1 capful of Plant Magic put it into 1 gallon (5 litres) of tepid water and water your plants as normal ensuring that the roots are receiving the feed.
FOLIAR FEED
Plant Magic can be used as a foliar feed on any plant to give it a boost. Simply as always take 1 capful of Plant Magic put it into 1 gallon (5 litres) of tepid water and fill a clean spray bottle. Spray all the foliage until wet. This is best done in the evening when the temperature has dropped, early in the morning is the next best time but try to avoid spraying when temperatures are hot as most of the spray wiill evaporate before the plant absorbs the nutrients. You can do this every couple of weeks during the growing season.
ROOT DIP
Put 5 litres of tepid water into a bowl. Using the cap off the bottle put 1 capful of Plant Magic into the water. We always recommend the use of gloves even though there are no nasty chemicals present.

Plant Magic can be used as a root dip for any new plant or even bulbs. New plants when ready for potting on or planting out should have their roots dipped in a solution of tepid water and Plant Magic. Simply take 1 capful of Plant Magic put it into 1 gallon (5 litres) of tepid water and submerge the roots until the roots are soaked. Bulbs should be left to soak in the solution for approximately 2 minutes. This enables the plant to absorb all the special nutrients in Plant Magic which will enable the plant to vigorously root in its new home. This is very important the quicker your plant establishes itself the quicker you get results.
IS IT A PLANT FOOD?
Plant Magic is for root establishment. Plants need access to all nutrients to remain healthy. We recommend that you use Plant Magic to promote the health and well being of your plants but occasionally feed with a standard feed which should contain most of the other nutrients needed.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
There is a two way process important in maintaining the health of a plant. The first is encouraging the plant to establish a healthy root system. The second is to have sufficient quantities of all the nutrients available so the roots can forage for them.
Plant Magic promotes efficient vigorous root growth so that the plant can establish quickly and forage for nutrition. It also promotes resistance to disease and pests through calcium. The nitrogen and calcium in Plant Magic are specially bonded to create a synergy between the two. The results are healthy, strong plants that produce better results.
IS IT NECESSARY TO USE WHEN I PLANT SHRUBS OR RE-SITE PLANTS/SHRUBS EVEN THOUGH I WILL USE MANURE, COMPOST OR NPK?
Yes absolutely, nutrients alone do not cause roots to grow and sometimes manure can suppress root growth. Plant Magic will promote vigorous root growth into the area where the nutrients can be utilised. Also the calcium will help the plant overcome the stress involved during these exercises. Usually NPK, manure or garden compost is dug in at planting, this is good practice but because of the amount of organic matter and/or type of nitrogen feed the plant can take up too much Nitrate. The nitrate is then stored in the foliage hence we often see a flush of growth. The stored nitrogen in the leaf needs to be then processed by the plant and sent to the areas of need, most importantly the roots.
The nitrogen in Plant Magic is stabilised in the ammonium form. When applied to the soil it remains in this form for a long period. It is more efficient because the ammonium does not have to be sent to the foliage for processing into sugars that can be used to feed the roots.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR ERICACIOUS PLANTS?
Yes, the pH of the product is 5.0 which is slightly acidic and so won't raise the soil pH. Even though Plant Magic contains Calcium, which is thought to be harmful to acid soil loving plants; the plants still need calcium as a nutrient. Quite often ericaceous plants are deficient in calcium. The effects can sometimes be astounding.

HOW IMPORTANT IS CALCIUM?
This plays a very important role. It makes the plant less susceptible to disease and pests, this is because it strengthens the cell wall tissue and suppresses ethylene during periods of stress. It can also improve the soil structure of heavy clay soils by helping to break down the clumps of clay into smaller pieces. Calcium in our complexed form can also help to leach sodium from the soil. Sodium or salt can be very toxic to a plant and can be the cause of deficiency leading to disease.
IS IT USED ONLY IN THE GROWING SEASON?
Plant Magic can be used all year round. During autumn when root ball stock is being planted Plant Magic is especially good, as it will promote vigorous root growth to establish the plant before dormancy. This is very important if the plant is to get off to a good start the following season. Also during winter when the plant is dormant Plant Magic can be sprayed on to the woody tissue of a plant. This dormant application has a noticeable effect come spring. The nutrients are stored under the bark and come Spring when the plant bursts into life there should be more new shoots, which are healthier and stronger than before.
CAN I USE IT IN ANY TYPE OF WEATHER?
Yes, it is specially formulated not to burn when hot and not to leach when really wet.
WILL IT HARM THE FOLIAGE WHEN WATERING?
